The School Anniversary

Yesterday I took a trip down memory avenue Trying to put a name on faces I once knew suddenly making me realise That I too had gained in years But,had we all become furthermore wise If we could turn back the years Would we avoid more heartaches Wipe away less tears What would be our dreams What would be our aims Would we have fame or made ourselves a name None can tell and it's probably just as well On the future neither anticipate Nor in the past dwell for to meditate For the prize afore is not yet won And the errors of the past cannot be undone Just live each day as if it was the last For life is short and time runs fast Doing our best to walk the good way By the grace that's sufficient for each and every day Ivydall 07/2004 (version française page 18 du 30 mai 2007)
