    If dreams were all I had

    I’d dream both night and day
    Of blue skies not of the clouds
    That cause so many tears

    If hope was all I had

    I’d hope both night and day
    To see the sun shine out
    To brighten up the way

    If faith was all I had

    I’d believe both night and day
    In a better tomorrow
    When comes the end of today

    If love was all I had

    I’d love both night and day
    To take away the pain
    And keep our hearts ablaze
