After all, new evaluations that begin in September use test-score growth data as one factor in determining our annual rating, and it wouldn’t be fair to compare the new scores to last year’s less rigorous ones. But if the evaluation system works like it should and provides teachers the feedback and support they need to be more effective, then this won’t be an issue in the years ahead.
