The Giants actually opened the game by holding Philly to a three-and-out, and their first drive was impressive. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so the Giants flashed more personnel, more formations, even a little bit of pistol early on — and it worked. On their third offensive play, Manning found Hakeem Nicks from 49 yards out, setting up David Wilson's five-yard TD run, a play that gave the Giants their first lead in their last 131:04.
