She arrived dressed in a robe haute couture, in crêpe de Chine, very chic!
After being installed in her room, pure style art déco, she came down to the
dining room where an apéritif was being served to welcome her.
Some dainty hors d\'oeuvres had also been prepared, no doubt to try to impress her.
On the menu the courgettes au gratin, with crème fraiche were not bad.
But the Coq au vin was not what could be classed as a chef d'oeuvre.
The mistress of the house was obviously not a cordon bleu!
Jacinthe decided that from tomorrow on, she would take on the cooking .
Hopefully she would charm them with real French cuisine...
