Thanks for calling https://www.comedyminusone.com/how-long-does-avigra-last-1c5d.pdf#ads avigra uses One of seven songs, all based on folk originals from different regions of Spain, which Falla composed shortly after he returned to Madrid in 1914. I love this one because of its angry gaiety. It’s as if the music is seizing a moment in life and sucking the marrow out of it with furious intensity. This tiny song seems the opposite to the Homenaje, but really there’s a deep affinity. The text runs: “Anyone whose roof is made of glass shouldn’t throw stones at his neighbour’s. We are muleteers; perhaps along the road we shall meet another one! It’s sung here by the great Spanish soprano Victoria de los Angeles.
