It's serious http://www.caughtinthecrossfire.com/hotdrugsnet-d654.pdf hotdrugs.net I find this article quite interesting but it does raise a few doubts in my mind.first of all,without having approriate knowledge about the consequences it would be rather foolish on our part to eradicate 3500 species of mosquitoes because it can backfire(there is a 50-50 probability).secondly if making mosquitoes extinct would have no catastrophic effect on the ecological balance then ther would have been no logic behind their co-evolution for 100 million years.thirdly,i think it personally that after 3500 species of mosquitoes go extinct the increase in human population will further add to the woes of disbalance of ecosystem created by the extinction of mosquitoes.
