People always say that walls have ears
So why is it that they never seem to hear
The crying of the battered baby next door
Or the lonely old man, as he falls to the floor
Why is it that they do not see
The poor widow who in her coat must sleep
For lack of money to pay for heat
Nor the imigrant family who at their table seat
With so little food to meet their need
Why is it that they never see such plight

Walls have ears,but if only they had eyes!

Walls have ears yes but sometimes they prefer rest deaf person in the suffering of the others... Yes sometimes he(it) would better make have eyes!! I approve totally your poem and I find that you are right! Friendship kisses

I especially liked this one. Don't be afraid to send more poems in English, Even for people who have some problems with their English it is a pleasure to learn a different music. Same thing for Paquita, for example when she writes in Spanish.
